'Le Calocchie' Fattoria Camiliano 2024
'Le Calocchie' from Fattoria Camiliano is a white wine made from Chardonnay and Vermentino grapes. The name of the wine comes from the Tuscan dialect word 'Calocchia', meaning the wooden stick used in the past to support the vines. In this way, Cipriano and Samuele, the owners of the winery, wanted to pay homage to the agricultural tradition of the Lucca area. The nose opens with hints of medicinal herbs, notes of crisp fruit and a touch of iodine, which is also found on the palate. In fact, it is distinctly savoury, fresh and smooth with a lingering finish. Perfect with Ligurian pesto pasta or linguine with lemon and bottarga
