The Nebbiolo d'Alba "Valmaggiore" is a full-bodied and intense red wine, aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. The aromatic profile is rich and complex, with hints of flowers, berries, and spices. Elegant, intense, and flavorful is the entry on the palate, with subtle spiciness and fine tannins

The Nebbiolo d'Alba "Valmaggiore" by Luciano Sandrone is an elegant red wine with a good aromatic complexity, a faithful expression of the great Piedmontese grape and its most typical varietal characteristics. It is a version of Nebbiolo of particular prestige and value, which matures for a long time in wood before being released for sale. The classic floral and fruity notes are enriched by refined tertiary aromas that complete the tasting experience. The profile is harmonious and evolved, with a sip of great balance, making it intense and very pleasant to drink.

The "Valmaggiore" is an important and prestigious Nebbiolo d'Alba. Luciano Sandrone, in addition to the vineyards in the Barolo area, owns an estate in Roero and it is precisely from the grapes coming from the vineyards of Vezza d'Alba that Valmaggiore is born. We find ourselves in the heart of the left bank of the Tanaro, in a splendid amphitheater beautifully exposed to the sun, which has always been known for the excellent quality of the grapes. The mild climate and the soft sandy soils of Valmaggiore, constitute a perfect habitat for Nebbiolo, which in this land expresses itself with aristocratic finesse. While the Nebbiolo from Langhe represents the most austere and powerful face, that of Roero seduces with its subtle refinement, delicate aromas, and a more immediate drinkability even in youth.

The red Nebbiolo d'Alba "Valmaggiore", produced by Luciano Sandrone, is one of the most interesting versions of the great Piedmontese red made in the lands of Roero. It perfectly interprets the territory, without seeking concentration and richness, but enhancing the characteristics of elegance that this terroir knows how to give. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, in open steel tanks. The wine matures for a period of 9 months in tonneau of French oak and completes its aging with 9 months in bottle. The color is a rather intense garnet red. On the nose, it opens with floral scents, aromas of small red berry fruits, hints of licorice root, and delicate spices.  On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a smooth sip, complex, persistent aromas, and a fine tannic texture. The finish is fresh, savory, and of good length.
