Bosco del Merlo's Pinot Noir 'Primont' is a tribute to the great boxer Primo Carnera, who was born in Sequal, where this wine was also born. Low-temperature fermentation with daily pumping-over enhances finesse and structure, resulting in a Pinot Noir with a fragrant, fine style. On the nose, berries and slight spicy hints emerge from the fruit. In the mouth it surprises with its savoury minerality, balance, and precise, round texture. Ideal with lamb with herbs or light meat starters
Deep red with garnet hues
On the attack small red fruits such as currants and raspberries, slight spicy hints of fruit such as pepper and liquorice
Well-balanced, rather fresh and with light, chiselled tannins, distinctly savoury
