"Puro Corte" is an Argentinian red wine from Mendoza made from a blend of Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes selected by the Ojo de Agua winery, a young reality born from the idea of Dieter Meier. A beginning of dark fruit introduces a fragrant and pleasant bouquet, with vegetal and peppery notes in the finish. The sip is meaty, rich and intense, with a juicy texture and pleasant tannin.

The "Puro Corte" from Ojo de Vino originates in Argentina near Mendoza. The winery is owned by Dieter Meier who, upon arriving in Argentina, fell in love with this beautiful land and decided to invest in wine production to showcase the great potential that these places can offer. He adopted organic farming from the very beginning to respect both the raw materials he worked with and the surrounding environment, a condition that provided the right habitat for the indigenous grapes.

The Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of "Puro Corte" from Ojo de Vino are cultivated on a large area of about 2000 hectares in the countryside of Buenos Aires, where the sun exposure is excellent and consistent and where the sudden temperature changes between day and night ensure complete ripening of the grapes and consistent yields in the vineyard every year. The soil has a calcareous composition that gives the wines a harmonious structure. The harvest is manual to limit interventions in the vineyard; the must ages for 20% in barrique and for the remaining 80% in cement.

The "Puro Corte" from Ojo de Vino appears in the glass as an intense ruby red with brilliant reflections. The aromas recognized range from ripe red fruit, wet earth, vegetal notes, and a finish of sweet spices; on the palate, one senses a characterful, rich, and smooth structure, pleasantly persistent with well-integrated tannins. Perfect when paired with the typical cuts of meat from Argentine tradition cooked in stew or grilled; also interesting with pasta dishes based on vegetarian sauces. To be enjoyed at the family holiday table or during evenings by the fireplace accompanied by an engaging read while watching the silent snow fall, savoring a wine from a unique land with infinite facets.
