Pierre Frick's Riesling 'Marne & Loess' is a fine, aromatic white wine, produced from grapes grown according to biodynamic principles and vinified using only indigenous yeasts. Fresh and fragrant, ageing in wood gives it softness and elegance. The nose reveals notes of tropical fruit, white peach and honey, refreshed by pleasant hints of aromatic herbs and citrus. A wine to pair with a fish-based dinner!

The Riesling 'Marne & Loess' from the renowned artisanal Domaine Pierre Frick is an artisanal wine with a full yet tense character, an unadulterated expression of Alsatian Riesling. In this wine-growing region of eastern France, Riesling produces richer and more generous wines than those produced in the nearby Moselle region. This difference is partly due to the very sunny and dry microclimate of the Alsatian territory, determined by the presence of the Vosges mountain range, which protects the area from precipitation and cold currents.

Pierre Frick 'Marne & Loess' Alsace Riesling is made exclusively from Riesling Renano grapes grown according to certified organic and biodynamic methods. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and then gently pressed whole, followed by alcoholic fermentation of the must using only indigenous yeasts, during which no additives or oenological adjuvants, including sulphur dioxide, are used. The maturation phase lasts several months and takes place on fine lees in old oak barrels. The wine is then bottled without undergoing any clarification process.

To the eye, Pierre Frick's 'Marne & Loess' Riesling displays a straw yellow colour with bright golden-green hues. The bouquet offers hints of tropical fruit, white peach, honey and aromatic herbs, enhanced by floral and citrus notes and distinct mineral undertones. The palate is balanced between glycerine softness and brilliant freshness, with a savoury and gently aromatic progression that lingers along with mineral sensations. This Riesling is an ideal accompaniment to risottos and elaborate seafood dishes or Asian cuisine, such as Thai or Vietnamese.
