The Roero Rosso by Alberto Oggero is an intense and juicy interpretation of Nebbiolo that comes from the magnificent Cru Le Coste in Santo Stefano Roero. A glass capable of combining the aromatic richness of the grape with the unique finesse that only the sandy soils of Roero can provide. An austere and deep bouquet, it opens early to tones of dark fruit, the sip is energetic and of lively intensity, crunchy and with well-integrated tannin.

The Roero Rosso by Alberto Oggero is a pure Nebbiolo that tells a young and captivating story primarily about people, who are madly in love with a territory. On the right bank of the Tanaro River, the undisputed king of Piemonte, it reaches truly exceptional quality levels, rooting in sandy soils and positively enjoying the natural microclimate.

The Roero by Alberto Oggero is made from Nebbiolo grapes all coming from a single vineyard, called “Le Coste”, which rises on the steep hills of Santo Stefano Roero. The pursuit of quality begins in the vineyard, where treatments are carefully administered, in line with the principles of organic farming, and continues within the walls of the winery that Alberto has committed to bringing back to life. The grapes are crushed and destemmed, and the alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks is initiated using only the naturally present yeasts on the skins. After the racking, it goes into wood, specifically in used 500-liter tonneaux, for a period of at least 14 months, followed by a brief phase of clarification in steel and a long year of stabilization in the bottle.

This Red Roero by Alberto represents the Nebbiolo that emerges in denomination, the result of a single vineyard, the one a bit more "dressed up," which ages in wood and reaches truly high levels of territorial expressiveness. Thanks to a long maceration of about 20 days in contact with the skins, with the cap first emerged and then submerged, this red is rich in extraction, color, and juice. It immediately emanates vital and energetic aromas of dark-hued fruit, red berries, underbrush, and yellow peach, which soon move onto rhythmic and expressive aromas of earth and refined spices. Rich and generous, a juicy sip that envelops the mouth with drive and character, supported by excellent freshness and tannicity, refreshed here and there by saline breezes that make it unforgettable.
