The Single Malt “Lasanta” is a Sherry Cask Finish Whisky of the highest quality. It could not be otherwise considering the strictness with which Glenmorangie produces its labels: just think that only a third of what is distilled is brought to maturation, precisely to meet the very high quality standards sought in every product. We are therefore faced with a bottle in which scents and aromas outline a complex yet always harmonious aromatic profile, paving the way for a round and seductive sip, with a slightly sweet flavor.

The “Lasanta” 12 Years is a Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky that originates, like all products signed by the Glenmorangie distillery, from an extremely careful selection of raw materials. The water used during distillation comes from the nearby Tarlogie springs and is sampled twice a week to verify its quality; similarly, the barley is chosen with rigor and extreme attention. The distillation phase employs the so-called “neck of giraffe” stills,

“giraffe”, so named for their shape and for the height that exceeds 5 meters, making them the tallest stills in all of Scotland. At the end of the processing process, the Whisky matures for 12 years, of which 9 are spent in American oak barrels that contained Bourbon and 3 in barrels of Spanish origin, where the Sherry Oloroso was aged.

This Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky “Lasanta” 12 Years presents itself in the glass with an intense and concentrated golden yellow color. The nose is filled with sweet and warm hints, where sensations reminiscent of beeswax and caramel can be found, with touches of chocolate as well. On the palate, it is full-bodied and round, enveloping, with a sip that flows with a perfect taste-olfactory balance, highlighting a spicy flavor on the finish.
