Meursault Premier Cru 'Blagny' Chapelle de Blagny is an elegant white wine from Burgundy, produced in Cote de Beaune from Chardonnay. Aging one year in wood gives the wine softness and creaminess on the palate, balanced by a fresh minerality and a pleasant spicy streak on the finish. The nose expresses notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, hints of citrus, spice and vanilla. A white wine to collect or uncork now, to celebrate special moments

The Meursault-Blagny Premier Cru produced by the Burgundian reality Chapelle de Blagny is an elegant and opulent white wine that faithfully expresses the characteristics of the climat of origin. The AOC Premier Cru of Meursault-Blagny is based on the use of Chardonnay grapes grown between the Meursault production area and the hamlet of Blagny, home of the Chapelle de Blagny winery. The hamlet of Blagny is located on the upper part of the hill overlooking Puligny-Montrachet and is characterized by steep slopes and excellent sun exposure.
Domaine Chapelle de Blagny Meursault-Blagny Premier Cru is derived from only Chardonnay grapes from vines between 30 and 60 years old. The vines are planted on soils consisting of clay-limestone marls and are raised using sustainable practices. The grapes are hand-picked into boxes and then soft-pressed through a pneumatic press, with the resulting must left to decant cold for 24 hours. This is followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, with a maximum percentage of new wood of 30 percent. In the same type of wine containers, the liquid remains to mature for 12 months, followed by an additional 4-6 months of aging in steel before final bottling.
Premier Cru Chapelle de Blagny Meursault-Blagny is straw yellow in color with golden highlights. The nose expands on ample and intriguing suggestions of yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus peel, tropical fruit and white flowers. Hints of sweet spices such as vanilla and refined mineral hints then emerge from the background. The initial creamy softness on the palate is excellently supported by the taut fresh-sappy component in a marriage of great harmony and elegance that rests on a coherent mineral and spicy epilogue.
