The Sangiovese di Romagna Reserve "Le Morine" is a full-bodied and structured red wine, aged for 24 months in barriques and at least 12 in bottle. It expresses rich nuances of ripe fruit, red flowers, sweet spices, and balsamic herbs. On the palate, it is intense, rich, enveloping, warm, and has a long progression.

The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Riserva "Le Morine" from Fattoria Monticino Rosso is the most classic and famous regional red, offered in one of the most interesting interpretations for intensity, complexity and taste persistence. The high quality of the grapes and a long aging process, first in wood and then in bottle, give a noble Sangiovese, which presents the typical floral and fruity varietal notes, accompanied by evolving aromas that broaden the spectrum towards tertiary notes of great elegance and persistence.

"Le Morine" Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Riserva is born in the hilly area of Imola, on the border between Emilia and Romagna. Fattoria Monticino Rosso is a family-run business, with a total area of 37 hectares, of which about twenty are cultivated with vineyards. The varieties present in the company are the classic ones of the territory, among the whites the Albana and Pignoletto, and among the reds Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Sangiovese has always been cultivated in this area with excellent results. Together with Tuscany, the Romagna represents the land of excellence for this ancient grape with still mysterious origins. The winery is managed with a craft spirit, which translates into great attention to vineyard cultivation and cellar work aimed at preserving the qualities of the raw material, in order to highlight the particular characteristics of the terroir of the production area.

The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Riserva “Le Morine” from Fattoria Monticino Rosso is made with pure Sangiovese grapes, from a vineyard about twenty years old, cultivated on soils predominantly composed of clay. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with a maceration period on the skins of about 3 weeks. The wine matures for 24 months in barrique and finishes aging with 12 months in the bottle. In the glass, it has an intense ruby red color with light garnet reflections. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of cherry and ripe red fruit, floral nuances, hints of aromatic herbs, spices, notes of cocoa and hints ofgraphite minerals. The sip is rich and long, with good aromatic complexity, which harmoniously leads to a savory and balanced finish. A great red from the territory, a perfect expression of a mature and elegant Sangiovese.
