Vermentino "Merì" and Sardinia: does anyone think of a happier pairing than this, born from the strong connection between the grape variety, the land, and the expertise of a great winery? Argiolas, a winery representing a pinnacle of Sardinian winemaking for several decades, solidifies its bond with the territory by creating a white wine with a delicate colour and a savoury texture, transporting us into the Mediterranean scrubland on the island. A label characterized by a refreshing sip, ideal for accompanying dishes where the sea takes centre stage.

Vermentino "Merì" is a wine originating from the pure grapes of that white grape variety, symbolizing the entire island of Sardinia, Vermentino. The vines grow in vineyards with a calcareous-clayey subsoil, and the grapes, once brought to the winemaking premises, are gently pressed and fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-17 degrees Celsius for about 15-20 days. Then comes the maturation phase, which takes place in steel tanks for several months. The wine is ready to be bottled and marketed at the end of this process.

The "Merì" wine is a Vermentino that, visually, presents itself with a straw-yellow colour, light and not too intense. The nose is lively and youthful, with an olfactory profile of fruity notes enriched by more floral hints. It is light-bodied, slim, and expressive on the palate, thanks to a pleasantly fresh and round sip, very enveloping. A wine that is one of the actual symbols of Sardinia, with which the Argiolas winery once again confirms its role as a reference producer within the Sardinian terroir. It is worth trying without hesitation.
