L’Angimbé is one of the most famous white wines from Cusumano, made from Insolia and Chardonnay grapes grown at over 700 meters altitude. It has an intense, warm, mineral and seductive personality, characterized by fruity hints, including exotic fruit, citrus peel and yellow flowers in the foreground. The sip is very soft and enveloping, with good freshness

“Angimbé” is one of the most famous and beloved whites from Cusumano for its pleasant profile fruity, fresh, fragrant, and slightly aromatic. It is born from a skillful blend of Insolia (70%) and Chardonnay (30%), two grapes that prove to be perfectly complementary. Insolia, among the most cultivated white grape varieties in Sicily, is particularly appreciated for its intense aromas and harmonious citrus freshness, while Chardonnay is valued for its structure, aromatic richness, and complexity. Together, they perfectly complete the bouquet, giving a wine of great personality. The label is part of the Cusumano wine line dedicated to individual territories, and it best expresses the most typical characteristics of Sicilian whites, intense and Mediterranean.

The white “Angimbé” is produced in the Tenuta Ficuzza, located in Piana degli Albanesi, in the province of Palermo, at an altitude of 700/800 meters above sea level. The climate, warm and dry, is mitigated by the notable temperature excursions between the day and night, which contribute to giving the grapes a fine and elegant profile. The vineyards are cultivated on clayey soils, with Insolia exposed to the southeast and Chardonnay to the east, with trellis systems with a density of 5000 vines per hectare and yields not exceeding 60 quintals/ha. All harvests are manual, with Chardonnay harvested in August and Insolia during the first decade of September. After a cold maceration for 12 hours at 8 °C, a gentle pressing of the grapes follows, along with a cold decantation. The must is then sent for fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature of 18-20 °C. The wine matures in steel tanks on the fine lees for 4 months and completes its aging with a few months in the bottle.

The wine “Angimbé” is a white that conquers with its harmony and taste freshness. The blend of Insolia and Chardonnay proves to be an absolutely convincing marriage between Sicily and Burgundy. The particular pedoclimatic conditions of the Tenuta Ficuzza give that irreplaceable touch of territoriality, which makes the wine unique and
