White Piercarlo Carcereri 2021

This White by Piercarlo Carcereri is a macerated wine born of the passion of a tenacious young man in love with his land. Produced with the producer's artisanal philosophy, which follows the minimum intervention in the vineyard. In the cellar, the white grapes, partly dried in crates for a few months, macerate for several days and ferment spontaneously in cement. The result is an elegant and distinctive 'orange wine', with hints of ripe yellow fruit, honey and a smoky note on the finish. On the palate it is striking for its marked minerality, typical of the volcanic terrain from which it originates

WHITE PIERCARLO CARCERERI 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Bianco del vignaiolo Piercarlo Carcereri is an orange wine from the Veneto region that is striking for its sincere and extrovert spirit, an authentic reflection of the producer's artisanal approach. Piercarlo takes care of just over one hectare of vineyard located in Colognola ai Colli, within the Soave production area, which has always been a land suited to viticulture thanks also to the volcanic origin of its soils. The ancient plantation is trained to the double pergola system without the use of synthetic chemical products, in true harmony with the environment and the land.

Piercarlo Carcereri Bianco consists of a blend of Garganega (85%), Trebbiano di Soave (10%) and Malvasia di Candia (5%) grapes grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides and other synthetic chemicals. The vines are grown using the double pergola system on soils of volcanic origin and the harvest is carried out strictly by hand. Approximately 20% of the Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes are left to dry in crates for 2 months, while the remainder is destemmed and then placed in cement tanks. Here, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place combined with 3 days of maceration on the skins, with the subsequent maturation phase lasting several months, which takes place in steel for the mass obtained from fresh grapes and in tonneaux for the part from dried grapes. The two masses are finally blended before bottling, which takes place without prior clarification or filtration.

The Bianco di Piercarlo Carcereri has an intense orange colour. The aromatic range opens on vivid notes of baked apple, apricot, macerated flowers and honey, with smoky mineral tones on the finish. In the mouth, it reveals good structure and intensity, as well as a juicy freshness and a pronounced sapid-mineral vein to accompany the gustatory epilogue.
