It is a label of great charm, seducing with its floral aromas, its intense fruit and its rich aromatic facet. Matured on the lees for at least 5 years, it offers a creamy and fresh, intense and mineral sip.
Champagne Brut Blanc is made by a historic Maison in the Vallée de la Marne, which traces its origins back to the 16th century. The first nucleus of the domaine consisted of a few hectares of vines in the prized area of the village of Ay, today almost entirely classified as Grand Cru. In the 18th century, the production of Champagne began and has continued to the present day with increasing success. Today, Gosset is an important name in the world of Champagne and owns a splendid site in Epernay, with over 5 kilometres of galleries dug into the chalk underground for the ageing of the wines. The Maison's style has remained faithful to a vision of purity and freshness, with vinifications of the bases that do not involve malolactic fermentation, in order to always preserve a lively tension and an intact expressive energy.
Blanc de Blancs is a Brut Champagne made from pure Chardonnay grapes, which come from some fifteen villages including: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cuis, Villers-Marmery, Tours-sur-Marne and Trépail. Each parcel is vinified separately, so as to have maximum choice when creating the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, with an ageing period on the lees for at least 48 months. In the glass it has a brilliant golden yellow colour and a very fine and persistent perlage. The aromas are characterised by delicate floral notes, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus peel, acacia honey and hints of bread crust. On the palate it is rich and complex, with an intense aromatic spectrum and a long, creamy sip that heralds a harmonious finish of remarkable freshness.
