CHAMPAGNE BRUT BLANC DE NOIRS 'L'ECLAT DE NOS TERROIRS' V&G DUPONT DESCRIPTION

The Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs Champagne ‘L’Eclat de Nos Terroirs’ from the V&G Dupont winery is a sparkling wine with a balanced and lively personality, produced with a highly sustainable vision. This label is part of the ‘Terroir et Caractère’ line, a selection of Champagnes that express the viticultural potential of the Baye and Talus-Saint-Prix territories, the cradle of the cooperative with which the V&G Dupont estate collaborates for winemaking.

The Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut V&G Dupont Champagne ‘L’Eclat de Nos Terroirs’ is a blend of black grape varieties Pinot Meunier (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%), grown on clay and sandy soils following the principles of organic farming and agroecology. Specifically, the grapes come mainly from the municipalities of Baye and Talus-Saint-Prix, in the Côte de Sézanne. For this cuvée, a rigorous selection of the best grapes harvested in the area is carried out, which are then vinified in white with alcoholic fermentation in the absence of the skins. The vintage wine is then mixed with a percentage of wine from a perpetual reserve, and the cuvée is bottled and added with the liqueur de tirage for the prise de mousse in accordance with the Méthode Champenoise. After 36 months of aging on the lees, the Champagne is finally subjected to dégorgement and Extra Brut dosage.

The V&G Dupont Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Champagne ‘L’Eclat de Nos Terroirs’ is pale golden yellow in color with a fine and delicate perlage. The nose offers fruity fragrances of apple, pear, and citrus that meet floral aromas of wisteria. Hints of almond and small pastries emerge from the background. The sip is vertical and very fresh, with a dry and pleasantly delicate progression.
