Nicolas Maillart's Champagne Extra Brut Premier Cru 'Platine' is a fine, fruity Champagne, a fresh expression of a historic 'maison'. The winery, interestingly enough, planted a parcel of Pinot Noir on a free-range basis, which according to the producers gives it great quality and personality. The attack on the nose reveals an autumnal profile of pear, golden apple and dried flowers, joined by fresh, lively hints of tropical fruit and citrus. The palate is balanced, with a creamy texture and fresh finish. Perfect for a refined aperitif
Straw yellow and copious bubbles
Autumn aromas of pear, golden apple, dried flowers, then lively pineapple, small red fruits, citrus peel
Fruity tendency and tonicity, very creamy and fresh on the finish
