Grappa di Moscato Segnana
Grappa di Moscato by Segnana is an aromatic, fresh and smooth white grappa, produced from fresh pomace of Moscato grapes, distilled in bain-marie pot stills. It springs out scents of yellow fruits, aromatic herbs and white flowers. The taste is round, fragrant, refreshing and harmonic
The Grappa di Moscato Segnana is a distillate with a distinctly aromatic profile, which exemplarily captures the typical aromas of the pomace from the grape variety used. Flowers and fruit blend on the nose always with the right dose of balance, while on the palate, a sip moves with a fresh component that makes it smooth to drink. A bottle with which Segnana confirms, thanks to the vision of the Lunelli family – which will obviously remind wine experts of the work done with the Trentino winery Ferrari – a path that aims for innovation and excellence in its products.
This Grappa di Moscato, as can be easily understood, originates precisely from the aromatic grape Moscato, whose pomace is selected by Segnana with great care. The pomace arrives fresh in the facilities designated for distillation, where the production process employs a steam bain-marie distillation, a process that uniquely transfers the intensity of the aromas typically found in Moscato grapes. Once obtained, the Grappa rests for at least a year in steel containers, in order to acquire a particularly soft profile. At the time of bottling, to reduce the alcohol content, Surgiva water is used, which flows from a high-altitude spring in the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.
The Grappa di Moscato produced by Segnana appears completely colorless to the eye, with a particular transparency and shine. The olfactory spectrum that spreads to the nose is interesting, where a fragrant carpet of fruity and floral notes also highlights subtle hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is harmonious, characterized by a broad and enveloping sip that flows with a pleasantly refreshing taste. A label of excellent craftsmanship, where nothing is out of place, which once again highlights Segnana's excellent ability to maintain in the final product the essence of the grape variety used from the start.
