ROSATO FRIZZANTE 'L'ALBA AL TURÒ' MAS GOMÀ DESCRIPTION

The rosé sparkling wine "L'Alba al Turò" from Mas Gomà comes from Spain, from the area of Les Cabanyes in the Penedès region, which is considered a historically appointed area for the production of quality wines. The winery is located in a historic building consisting of a farmhouse from 1724 and a small, charming church from 1135. The Vendrell family has been farming the estate since 1918 and has been dedicated to growing grapes and making wine according to traditional and natural methods for generations. Today, the company is run by Joan Manel Vendrell and Joan Vendrell, father and son, who have decided to invest in the future to continue the tradition and to make it forward-looking.

The Garnacha Tinta grapes for Mas Gomà's Rosato Frizzante "L'Alba al Turò" come from vineyards that are about 60 years old, initially cultivated according to the rules of organic farming, then going a step further and turning to completely biodynamic farming. In the vineyard, all chemical products are completely rejected in favour of natural preparations that can strengthen the plant and its productive balance; the choice of the green manure technique to protect the biodiversity between the rows is interesting. The cellar is naturally suited to the long ageing of the wines, with alcoholic fermentation by the action of indigenous yeasts and spontaneous re-fermentation in the bottle according to the traditional method. It ages for 6 months in the bottle.

Mas Gomà's Rosato Frizzante "L'Alba al Turò" is pale pink in the glass, and the aromas are reminiscent of red fruits, strawberries and a hint of citrus; on the palate, the structure is lively, with good freshness and a lingering finish that seduces the drinker. It is perfect with raw fish dishes such as sushi and sashimi, fried fish, and fresh cheese to finish a curious meal.
