Macaronesian is a Spanish Gin brand. The distillery is located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the archipelago of the Canary Islands. Maraconesian is a term that is often used to refer generically to the groups of islands that are located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa and include the Canary Islands, Madeira and Cape Verde. The Macaronesian distillery produces gin in an area with unique characteristics. It is a gin that originates from the wind, the volcanic soils and the sea, which are the three natural elements that characterise the wonderful natural landscape of the Canary Islands.

In the Canary Islands, the subtropical climate is mild all year round thanks to the presence of sea breezes and the constant gusting of the trade winds. The mountains are located close to the coast and facilitate the creation of clouds and rainfall, which feed a lush rainforest. It is a natural setting that is rich in extraordinary biodiversity, consisting of tall trees and an infinite variety of local flora from which to create highly original spirits. Another fundamental element of inspiration for Gin is the sea. The waves stirred by the wind and the salty, brackish breath of the great Atlantic Ocean envelop the Canary Islands, creating an evocative atmosphere of mists and puffs of water vaporised by the trade winds. It is from these natural components that a fresh, intense distillate is born, preserving all the scents and flavours of its land of origin.

The Macaronesian distillery produces a gin made from a careful selection of the best Canarian botanicals. The base of the gin is composed of artisanal extracts of juniper, cardamom, angelica root, liquorice, lemon peel, orange peel and other herbs and plants from the local flora. In addition to the authentic scents of the rainforest herbs, the excellent quality of the water comes from the island's springs. Before reaching the surface, the water passes through porous rocks of ancient volcanic origin, making it light, pure and rich in valuable minerals. The taste is thus pleasant and light, reducing the perception of alcohol. Finally, the bottle is also very special. It is made only from natural clays with environmentally friendly colours and is fired at over 1200°C to increase its strength. This additional feature completes the profile of a distillery that is particularly committed to the harmony of nature.
