CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'GOLD' ARMAND DE BRIGNAC DESCRIPTION

Armand de Brignac's "Gold" Champagne could be compared to Ferrari's Testarossa: a wine that has become an icon both for the aesthetics of the bottle and for what it contains. Pure excellence, the first Champagne produced in a winery run by the Cattier family, which has been cultivating vineyards for over 250 years and makes quality the undisputed pillar of its production. All vineyards are certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) level 3, which is the highest. The bottle is coated in metal and then polished, while the label is hand-applied French pewter, so each one is slightly different from the others.

"Gold" Champagne Brut is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The cuvée includes three vintages from vineyards located in the most representative areas of the French region, representing the best of terroir. Grape selection is based on historic experience handed down over the years and continuous research applied to the different grape varieties. Alcoholic fermentation takes place partly in steel and partly in wood, while resting on fine lees is in wood, followed by malolactic fermentation. The rest on the lees is at least 36 months.

"Gold" by Armand de Brignac, as soon as it is poured into the glass, appears a charming golden yellow with luminous reflections and a very fine and persistent perlage. The aromas released are intense and have a remarkable breadth. Hints of yellow fruit, especially peach and apricot, blend with those of candied citrus, interspersed with orange blossom and vanilla, with a finish that weaves honey and brioche, giving complexity to the bouquet. In the mouth it is soft and creamy, silky and intense, studded with fruity sparks reminiscent of the scents previously identified. It comes naturally to quote Coco Chanel's famous phrase, "fashion passes, style remains."
