Champagne Brut 'RSRV 4.5' Mumm
Champagne Brut RSRV 4.5 is a "reservé" edition of one of the world's most acclaimed champenoise brands. The 4.5 stands for the minimum number of years on the lees and for the five Grand Cru villages from where the grapes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay originate. Its bright straw yellow introduces a fruity bouquet with pastry notes. At the palate it reveals a full-bodied minerality and a toasted finale
The Brut Champagne “RSRV 4.5” by Mumm is one of the flagship labels of the famous Maison in Reims. It is an intense and elegant Champagne made only with a selection of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from precious parcels of five famous Grand Crus. The excellent quality of the raw material and a long aging on the lees allow for a perfect expressive maturity, with a remarkable aromatic richness. The classic floral and fruity notes are complemented by refined evolving nuances, making the tasting experience particularly enjoyable.
The Brut “RSRV 4.5” Champagne is produced by one of the most well-known Maisons of Champagne. Founded in Reims in 1827, G.H. Mumm quickly established itself thanks to a heritage of high-quality vineyards. Today, the estate spans over 200 hectares, most of which are cultivated in the most famous Grand Crus of the region. As per the tradition of the Reims area, Pinot Noir plays an important role in the composition of the cuvées. The label “RSRV 4.5” also adheres to this approach. Pinot Noir provides structure and depth to the blend, while Chardonnay gives the Champagne finesse and elegance. In the perfect style of the Maison, the Champagne expresses a balanced and harmonious face, with a verve of extraordinary mineral freshness. It is precisely these characteristics that have made the Maison famous worldwide and particularly appreciated by enthusiasts.
The “RSRV 4.5” Brut Champagne by Mumm is part of the most prestigious collection of this renowned Maison. It is a classic cuvée made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from the territory of five Grand Crus: Verzenay, Aÿ, Bouzy, Cramant, and Avize. The grapes are vinified separately with parcel fermentations. The base wines rest for several months before the creation of the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, with a minimum aging on the lees for at least 48 months. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color with bright golden reflections. On the nose, it expresses fragrant aromas of citrus, white-fleshed fruit notes, soft hints of pastry, slightly spicy and toasted notes. On the palate, it has a good structure, with a long and deep sip that unfolds harmoniously towards a persistent, fresh, and mineral finish.
