The southern shore of Lake Garda is an area that has historically been very suitable for viticulture, with vineyards being cultivated here for centuries. The Corte Anna winery is located near Sirmione, within the territory of the Lugana denomination, where great white wines are produced that have conquered the palates of wine lovers all over the world. Ancient traditions, culture, history and innovation have merged to create a small excellence of Italian enology. Corte Anna was established from the desire to renew and enhance this great heritage, through the production of quality wines that are the expression of the vines historically grown in the area and of a unique terroir.

Corte Anna has based its production philosophy on the central importance of the vineyard, with the awareness that wines with a strong territorial character can only be produced with healthy and genuine grapes. Respect for the land and its natural fertility is part of this vision, with a progressive withdrawal from the use of chemicals and a rediscovery of the oldest vine-growing techniques. Thanks to this responsible approach, wine becomes a true witness to the land, history, tradition and man's ancient skills. It is a true interpreter of nature. Thanks to a mild climate, which is mitigated by the presence of the wide basin of Lake Garda and very suitable soils, which are characterised by white clays rich in minerals and morainic hills of glacial origin, the vine has found an ideal habitat for producing highly aromatic grapes.

It is no coincidence that the Lugana Denomination was one of the first to be recognised in Italy back in 1967. At the heart of the success of the area's great wines is a great variety of white grape, Trebbiano di Lugana or Turbiana, which is an ancient strain with excellent qualities. Trebbiano di Lugana produces wines that express a pleasant floral and fruity profile in their youth, with characteristic savoury and mineral notes. Over time, it evolves towards complex and elegant aromas, which bring tertiary aromas ranging from resin to hydrocarbons to the fore. It is an extremely pleasant wine to drink while young, although it has considerable ageing potential. Corte Anna interprets the territory with two wines, a classic Lugana, which is fresher and simpler, and the "Antico Vigneto" version, which is an intense and rich white wine that is produced from a slightly late harvest of the best grapes from an old vineyard that is over 80 years old.
