DOLCETTO DI DIANO D'ALBA SUPERIORE 'SORÌ PRADURENT' CLAUDIO ALARIO 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba "Sorì Pradurent" is a real excellence of the territory from which it originates. Claudio Alario, a winery that can boast a long tradition in the production of excellent Piedmontese wines, decided to try this denomination by bringing the Dolcetto grape, always associated with the most popular peasant traditions and considered as a simple wine, to a level of sublime quality, recognized however in the years from the most relevant national criticism. We are faced with a strong and full-bodied bottle, which flows on the palate with linearity thanks to a cleverly dosed tannin. A must-try label to taste the most aristocratic side of Dolcetto.

This Dolcetto "Sorì Pradurent" originates from the grapes of a red grape variety widely present in all the Piedmontese territory, Dolcetto. The Claudio Alario winery grows it near the town of Diano d'Alba with the guyot system in vineyards whose age is around 10 years. The harvest takes place in the middle of September, and the grapes selected by the destemming of the bunches are gently pressed. The must begins the alcoholic fermentation in thermo-conditioned steel rotofermentatori. The aging takes place for 10 months in barriques of third passage.

The "Sorì Pradurent" is proposed to the view with a beautiful color, which recalls the shade of purple. The range of aromas offered to the nose is vibrant, spreading with a touch of fruit alternated with hints of flowers, enriched on the finish by tertiary nuances. The mouthfeel has an excellent body, full and round on the palate, with an enveloping sip characterized by a lively tannic texture but never over the top. A Piedmontese red Claudio Alario that promises great satisfaction on the table, as certified by the excellent scores obtained over time on the most important Italian industry guides.
