Ca' del Bosco's Franciacorta Extra Brut 'Cuvée Prestige Edizione 48' is a fresh and lively Franciacorta Extra Brut with a highly pleasant aroma, aged for around 25 months on the lees in the bottle. Fruity aromas of peach, flowers and citrus fruits blend with notes of bread and toasted almonds: a symbol of Franciacorta!

Ca' del Bosco's Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige Edizione 48 is a benchmark sparkling wine in the world of bubbles. A name and a certainty: Ca' del Bosco, one of Italy's most important wineries, tells its entire story with this Cuvée Prestige Edizione 48. It all began with Maurizio Zanella, a young man with a passion for wine who moved with his family to Erbusco and decided to cultivate his first vineyard. Maurizio could never have imagined that this simple vineyard would be the first brick in a business that would become a model and an example in the world of Italian sparkling wine. The turning point came a few years later when Maurizio took a trip to the Champagne region and, fascinated by the great sparkling wines, decided to devote his life to creating a sparkling wine that would reflect all the characteristics of the French. Thus Prestige Cuvée was born, that long-awaited and cherished dream realised in liquid form! It is a Ca' del Bosco-style gem, a traditional sparkling wine, born from over 30 years of experience, which perfectly embodies the soul and essence of the Franciacorta region. An edition that pays homage to the history of this historic winery and encapsulates the essence of the different terroirs of Franciacorta.

Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige "Edizione 48" is made from the finest Chardonnay grapes, with a small percentage of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, which come from 197 different vineyards, 162 of which are dedicated solely to Chardonnay. The vines have an average age of between 19 and 29 years and are rooted in clayey and calcareous soil. They are vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 8 months and then blended with the reserves from the best vintages in order to find the perfect recipe for the best Cuvée. Refermentation takes place in the bottle according to the principles of the Metodo Classico, and ageing on the lees lasts about 25 months, giving it a unique and rich personality. It is an Extra-Brut in all respects, dosed with about 1.0 gram/litre of sugar.

Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta 48 presents itself to the eye with a prestigious bright straw yellow colour, crossed by fine and persistent bubbles. The nose releases delicate and progressively shy and fragrant hints of citrus, apple, white peach and exotic fruit, enriched with hints of pastry, echoes of dried fruit and mineral notes. The lively and sparkling taste entices the drinker with its irresistible freshness, vibrant and well-balanced. The drink is therefore light and inviting, lingering until a pleasant fruity finish. Enjoy with fresh fish appetisers, carpaccio, sushi and sashimi, or with a seafood risotto or courgette and prawn risotto. Freshness made into wine!
