The Maeli winery is a modern estate in the Euganean Hills and was founded in 2011 by Elisa Dilavanzo. Maeli is also the symbol of the revival of the area's native aromatic grape variety, the Moscato Giallo, known locally as Fior d'Arancio. In Elisa's hands, it has returned to prominence in various forms, including the innovative Classic Method sparkling wine. It was a courageous challenge and choice, both in terms of placing a rather unglamorous grape variety in the limelight and presenting it in the form of a sparkling wine. However, it is now reaping its rewards, because the young woman's tenacity and commitment have been transformed into a solid, well-established winery, which enjoys international acclaim. This is undoubtedly also thanks to a great consistency in quality, acknowledged also by the Bison Brothers of Prosecco, which has allowed Elisa to secure a place of honour among the best and most acclaimed regional producers. But that's not all: Elisa has also designed, adjacent to the winery in Baone, an elegant and chic "Winery House" in the old and renovated farmhouse, where it is possible to relax among the vineyards and nature.

The Maeli winery owes its name to the ancient land of volcanic origin, composed of layers of marl and silt, where the beautiful Moscato Giallo vineyards are located. We are in the heart of the region, near the 'Terre Bianche del Monte Pirio', where the Dolomites and the Venice lagoon frame an enchanting landscape, rich in biodiversity and flora, such as olive groves, prickly pears, rose bushes and wild blackberry plants. The red grape vines, such as Merlot, Cabernet, Carmenere, Marzemina Corbina and other local indigenous grapes, are located in the southernmost area, on Mount Gemola, where the soils are rich in iron, minerals and fossils. Elisa's idea merges with the principles of sustainable viticulture with low environmental impact, designed to ensure that the grapes express all the territorial typicality of this volcanic area.

The wines of Maeli originate from the desire to enhance and respect a territory. Moscato Giallo is clearly the undisputed protagonist, capable of producing selections of white wines, dry bottle-fermented wines, sweet sparkling wines, sweet passito wines and also grappas. Whether sweet, without being too nauseating, or dry, without being excessively fresh, they are all characterised by an extraordinary salty-mineral touch!
