PINOT BIANCO 'SCHULTHAUSER' SAN MICHELE APPIANO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Bianco "Schulthauser" by San Michele Appiano is the white wine perhaps more representative of the tradition of the Alto Adige wine and is the one that better than anyone else can unfold the peculiarities of the territory from which it takes shape. San Michele Appiano has vinified and bottled the Pinot Bianco for the first time in 1986: it is a complete and elegantly fruity Pinot Bianco, able to seduce the taste buds with its creaminess and its softness. He was born in the vineyards of Schulthaus, between 540 and 620 meters above sea level, in one of the best areas with a secular tradition; here the microclimate is mild, characterized by cool nights and temperature fluctuations that are perfect for the perfectly ripe grapes. Vines over 40 years of age, on calcareous soil and gravel, clay-rich soil and exposed to the south and south-east. A long history of South Tyrol, a company with the participation of nearly 350 families of winemakers who are unquestionably the backbone. A passion that has been handed down from generation to generation, from hand to hand, from vintage to vintage. A tradition of grapes of the highest quality; such as those used for the Pinot Bianco "Schulthauser" which ferments to 75% in stainless steel tanks and 25% in wooden barrels. The "Schulthauser" is a Pinot Bianco, which is expressed in all its elegance and finesse, where the clear expressions of apple, apricot and pear are completing each other, giving a white wine of South Tyrol really classy and balance.
