Caparsa is a Tuscan winery located near Radda, in one of the most prestigious and vocated areas of the Chianti Classico area. The property was purchased by the Cianferoni family in 1965, and it was during these years that the first vines were planted, giving rise to the current estate. Today the helm of the estate is in the hands of Paolo, who, with his partner Gianna and a staff of competent and passionate people, produces wines of quality and remarkable territorial typicality. In 1999 some vineyards were replanted and today the total area in production is about twelve hectares. The area of Radda is among the highest in the Chianti region and is characterized by a particularly cool climate, marked by considerable temperature swings.

The estate is managed with full respect for the environment, according to the principles of organic farming. The soils are particularly suited, characterized by poor and stony soils, with abundant presence of marl and alberese. Lands particularly suited to Sangiovese, the territory's prince vine, which in this area, precisely because of the particular pedoclimatic conditions, expresses itself with a particularly fresh, refined and elegant profile. The vines are cared for by hand, starting with winter pruning, carried out leaving few buds to keep yields low and obtain few bunches per plant, with rich and concentrated aromas. The inter-rows are left grassed and the soils are tilled every three to four years to promote fertility.

The winery's philosophy is inspired by traditional values, applied in light of organic farming practices, without the use of herbicides and synthetic chemicals. The wine is still considered part of the local food and wine custom. The excellent quality of the grapes is indulged in the winery with a very simple winemaking process, with minimal intervention and no use of additives. Aging takes place in barrels of different capacities, from 500 to 1800 liters, made of Slavonian, French, American and Hungarian oak. The wines are faithful interpreters of the Chianti's area and authentically express the best characteristics of the terroir of Radda in Chianti.
