The Pierre Morey winery is a family-run business established in 1971 in Meursault, a village located at the end of the Burgundian Côte de Beaune. Pierre comes from a family with ancient origins, in which each generation has worked the vineyard, devoting themselves with passion and dedication to the production of local wines. Pierre, after twenty years of starting his own business, decided to convert first to organic and then to biodynamic, completing the transformation of all the vineyards in 1997, when these farming concepts were still unknown to most. Besides, Pierre has always loved experimenting with new ways, enhancing the intrinsic characteristics of each individual cultivated plot. Today Anne, Pierre's daughter, helps in the management of the winery, and is eager to follow in her father's footsteps and watch over a fertile and fruitful land that must be protected by new generations of winemakers.

The Pierre Morey winery is spread over an area of about 10 hectares, scattered in the heart of Meursault, divided among several parcels surrounding the communes of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, within some of the most renowned appellations. Among the rows, the leading grape varieties are those typical of this part of Burgundy, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to which a small percentage of Aligoté is added. The vineyards are conducted entirely following the principles of biodynamic agriculture, respecting as much as possible the fruits that are given by the terroir, paying attention, during vinification in the cellar, to accompany only the path that has already been traced by the vintage in the vineyard. Fermentations take place spontaneously, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, and maturations are long, to allow each type to find the right balance between finesse, elegance, purity and harmony.

Pierre Morey is a winery capable of producing a more than exhaustive range of red and white wines each year, honoring the Meursault terroir by presenting it under different appellations. Among the many bottles made that one cannot fail to taste at least once in a lifetime, the Meursault Blanc stands out, a label in which Chardonnay is presented with a class and finesse that is nothing short of infinite.
