Perricone 'Rosso di Marco' Marco De Bartoli 2023
De Bartoli's 'Rosso di Marco' is made from Pignatello grapes, a historic red grape variety also known as Perricone. This variety, which is particularly widespread in the Trapani and Agrigento areas, has recently been rediscovered. The name Pignetello takes its name from the 'pignatiddare' of Trapani, i.e. the red soils particularly suited to this variety, once used for the production of cooking pots. The label features a red car, a tribute to Marco's passion for cars. The nose opens with hints of ripe red fruits, hints of Mediterranean scrub herbs, with spicy and toasted notes. The palate is full and enveloping, with velvety tannins and balanced freshness. Excellent paired with pasta alla norma
