The family-run winery Menti can boast over a century of history, having been founded at the end of the 19th century in Gambellara, in the province of Vicenza, by Giovanni Menti. He immediately focused on one of the most representative grape varieties of the Veneto ampelographic platform: Garganega. In addition to vine cultivation, Giovanni was dedicated to the production of fruits, vegetables, and legumes for the sustenance of his family. With successive generations, the attention to wine grew in tandem with quality and volume, and in 1964, Gianni Menti entered the management of the winery. Since 2002, he has been joined by his son Stefano, who has shown a deep commitment to sustainability, initially approaching the world of organic agriculture and later biodynamic farming.

The just over 7 hectares of vineyards are planted on volcanic soils rich in basalt. The vines, mostly with an average age of 60 years, are managed according to the principles of certified organic and biodynamic agriculture, following the lunar calendar and using biodynamic preparations such as horn manure and horn silica. Furthermore, for tying the vines, organic willow ties are used instead of plastic ones. Garganega and Durella are the varieties cultivated, through exclusively manual agronomic operations. In the winery, vinification and maturation take place mainly in vitrified cement tanks, but also in old barrels and large casks. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted exclusively by indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation is allowed. Finally, bottling is carried out without prior clarification or filtration and with minimal additions of sulfur, only when the wine truly requires it.

Giovanni Menti's selection expresses the purest and most genuine essence of the Gambellara region. The types and styles are highly diversified, including sparkling wines, still and sparkling white wines, passito wines, and orange wines, all elaborated exclusively from the native grape varieties Garganega and Durella.
