The Corte Dei Venti winery was created from the division between siblings of the original Piancornello winery. The parents decided to divide the land equally between their two children, Claudio and Clara Monaci, who for years has been masterfully exploiting the potential of this wonderful strip of land between the villages of Sant'Angelo and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, south-east of the commune of Montalcino. The family attachment has remained such that, essentially, this winery coexists with that of the brother and is distinguished only by a few supporting poles painted either red or green. There are no fences or walls, no family tensions or envy, instead they grow their plants together and reciprocally, helping each other in the sign of brotherly love and above all for the ancient land. Clara's hospitality is particularly well known in the local community and she conveys a strong sense of attachment to her land by presenting labels of extraordinary workmanship, which even in the most difficult vintages have managed to impress and stand out among the best.

La Corte dei Venti, which was originally supposed to be called Quattroventi, is located at the intersection of breezes that constantly blow through the area, creating a unique microclimate, free of fog, particularly dry and which keeps the vines healthy. The 5 hectares of vineyards, half of which are planted in Brunello, stretch out among rolling hills, rooted in ferrous limestone soils, which are rich in minerals that combine well with the savoury influences coming from the sea. Manual harvesting is followed by alcoholic fermentation in steel vats, after which the malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. This softens the harsher aspects of the Brunello, and the wine is aged for at least 12 months.

The Corte Dei Venti red wines magnificently represent the qualities of this little paradise on earth, which is blessed with the uniqueness of its world-famous enological expressions. The Brunello di Montalcino has a particularly rich and full-bodied expressive quality, with its deep notes of ripe fruit preserved in alcohol and a fresh and fruity taste, with spiced and leathery overtones. Here Clara opens her arms to welcome us into a warm embrace of unique pleasantness, with true love for her land.
