Maso Martis is one of the most interesting realities of Trentino sparkling wine production, one of the Italian Metodo Classico districts that has grown the most in terms of quality in recent decades. The winery was established in 1990 and has been able to preserve the familiar face of its origins, distinguishing itself in the panorama of the denomination for a clear stylistic coherence and a range of excellent labels. A careful and rigorous search for the best quality without compromise has made Maso Martis one of the most prestigious brands in the region. It is particularly appreciated for its ability to interpret the Alpine character of the terroir with great fidelity, bringing to the glass the clear mineral freshness typical of great mountain wines.

The vineyards of the Maso Martis estate are located north of the city of Trento, on the sunny heights of Martignano, at an altitude between 400 and 500 metres above sea level. The cool and always very windy climate and the stony, limestone-rich, mineral-rich soils are ideal for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier for the sparkling wine bases. The bunches arrive at harvest time preserving a perfect balance between rich, ripe fruit and a lively freshness, indispensable for making great Metodo Classico sparkling wines. Love for their land and sensitivity to environmental protection have led the winery to adopt the principles of organic farming, completely eliminating the use of chemicals.

The care taken between the rows, to obtain genuine and healthy grapes, finds its natural development in the choice of particularly virtuous cellar practices that respect the quality of the raw material. A simple oenology is followed, which tends to always leave the varietal notes and peculiarities of the Alpine terroir in the foreground. Only the first must flower is used in vinification, and the re-fermentation in the bottle involves long periods of refinement on the lees, so as to favour a perfect evolution of the wines in the sign of aromatic complexity. The decision to use very low dosages guarantees extraordinary expressive purity.
