"Angialis" is a Sardinian 'passito' that reveals a complex and fascinating personality, which is important on the nose and intriguing on the palate. We are faced with a wine obtained from overripe grapes harvested late, which presents an enveloping aromatic range and a velvety drinkability thanks to a tannic texture finely integrated into the overall structure. A bottle that is part of the "Prestigio" line made by the Argiolas winery, a true point of reference in Sardinian oenology for several decades. A special label to be sipped, taking care to recognize and savour each characteristic.
The Argiolas "Angialis" sweet wine is made by the Argiolas winery starting from a blend of Nasco, one of the most ancient autochthonous vines of the whole of Sardinia, and a 10% of Malvasia. The grapes, which grow within vineyards characterized by a subsoil composed of clay and silica, are left to over-ripen on the vines. Once harvested, they are pressed softly and fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature between 22 and 25 degrees. This is followed by the maturation stage, carried out in second and third passage barriques for 12 months.
"Angialis" is a wine that, on visual examination, shows a beautiful golden yellow colour, very intense and lively to the eye. The scents that envelop the nose develop a complex texture, where fruity aromas alternate with nuances of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is enveloping and velvety, with a definitely round mouthfeel marked by a slightly savoury taste. This is a label of unusual charm, which the Argiolas winery makes with great craftsmanship, ideal for sipping at the end of meals, accompanying fancy desserts or dry pastries.
