Chateau de Cranne's Bordeaux Rouge 'Dompter la Bete' is a red wine made from fresh, juicy and fruity Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that grows on clay, limestone and gravelly soils. Ruby red in colour with garnet highlights, it is a wine to be appreciated for its organic production and its fruity, herbaceous and floral aromas, among which strawberry, bay leaf and rosehip are certainly recognisable. To be enjoyed as an aperitif with a platter of cured meats and cheeses
The Bordeaux Rouge 'Dompter La Bete' from the artisanal reality Chateau de Cranne is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a fresh and juicy taste, processed entirely in steel to enhance the characteristics of the two grape varieties. Chateau de Cranne's property is located in Donzac, a commune located southeast of the city of Bordeaux, in the Entre-deux-Mers area, an area that, although less well-known than the prestigious areas of Médoc, Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, nevertheless has something to say in terms of quality. Today it is Vincent Lacoste, the seventh generation of winemakers, who manages the 42 hectares of vineyards on which the estate stretches, all of which have been certified organic since 2005.
'Dompter La Bete' Chateau de Cranne Bordeaux Rouge originates from a blend of Merlot (80 percent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20 percent), varieties grown organically certified on limestone-clay and clay-gravel soils characterized by excellent sun exposure. After harvest, the grapes are transferred to the winery, where they are vinified in red by alcoholic fermentation with long maceration on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The subsequent maturation phase also takes place in steel, containers in which the wine rests for several months until final bottling that precedes release.
The Bordeaux Rouge Chateau de Cranne 'Dompter La Bete' has an intense and bright ruby red color. Clear fruity and floral hints of raspberry, black currant and rosehip emerge on the nose, enhanced by balsamic and herbaceous nuances of laurel and fern. The sip stands out for its juicy freshness and fleshy tannins, elements that define a pleasant progression of excellent balance, characterized by a consistent fruity finish.
