CATARRATTO 'BUONSENSO' TENUTA REGALEALI - TASCA D'ALMERITA 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Sicilian white Catarratto "Buonsenso" made within the Regaleali Estate is a wine that, for Tasca d'Almerita, embodies the classicism of the territory between Valledolmo and Sclafani Bagni, where the Estate is located. A harmonious label, immediately comprehensible, graceful, whose calling card is represented by a pleasant freshness, which pervades nose and palate from the first moments. A bottle, which, by the way, also collects interesting scores, both domestically and abroad.

"Buonsenso" is a pure Catarratto that the Tasca d'Almerita winery produces within the Tenuta Regaleali estate. Here, the grapes of Catarratto, a great native Sicilian white berry, are grown using the espalier method in vineyards located about 900 meters above sea level, where the vine density per hectare is just over 4,000. The berries are harvested slightly in advance, and once they reach the winemaking facilities, they ferment in steel tanks for 18 days. The maturation phase always takes place in steel, where the wine remains in contact with the yeasts for 4 months. At the end of this period, bottling takes place.

The Catarratto "Buonsenso" signed Tenuta Regaleali - Tasca d'Almerita reveals itself to the eye with a beautiful straw yellow colour. The range of scents that envelop the nose recalls fresh notes, in which touches of exotic fruit and wild flowers creep in, enhanced by nuances that tend to be mineral. On the palate, it isvlight-bodied, flowing and drinkable, characterized by an innate freshness, which makes for a very pleasant taste experience. A classic and traditional Sicilian white, made as it used to be, ideal to accompany fish and shellfish dishes, cooked with different preparations.
