COGNAC MARTELL VSOP DESCRIPTION

Cognac VSOP is one of the most famous labels in the Maison Martell range, an essential reference point for all fans of this extraordinary and fascinating French spirit. It perfectly expresses the classic and elegant style that has made the brand famous throughout the world, thanks to a production characterised by refined finesse. The excellence of the grapes, of the base spirits, aged for a long time in noble woods, gives Cognac a particularly soft, intense, complex and persistent profile. The pleasant aromas of ripe fruit, dried fruit and delicate spices blend admirably in an unforgettable taste experience.

Martell VSOP is a Cognac born of the experience of one of the most important Maisons in the area, which has been producing great spirits for over three centuries. The production method has been handed down from generation to generation by the maître de chai and still represents an important heritage of the Maison. The production starts with white wines made from the symbolic vine of the region, the Ugni Blanc or Trebbiano, cultivated above all in the vocated Borderies area. After an ageing period, the base wines are selected and then sent for distillation in the classic Charente copper stills, thanks to the ancient savoir-faire handed down over the centuries. The final blend is made by selecting the best distillates aged for at least four years in fine-grained oak barrels.

The Cognac Martell VSOP is a label of excellent quality, intended for a public of lovers of great spirits or for those who wish to approach and begin to get to know the classic taste of a great Cognac. To the eye, it has a beautiful intense golden colour with luminous amber and copper highlights. The bouquet expresses elegant aromas of ripe fruit, dehydrated apricot, sultanas, notes of oriental spices, hints of dried fruit, nuances of vanilla and noble woods, due to the long ageing process. The entrance to the palate is enveloping and harmonious, warm and rich, with dense and deep aromas, giving a very persistent, long and balanced sip. It is perfect to savour in an after-dinner drink among enthusiasts.
