Distilleria Indie's Liquore di Sambuco is an artisanal product created from local ingredients such as elderflower (sambuco), mint and even lime. This is the first zero-impact distillery in Italy, located in San Pietro in Campo, province of Lucca. This is a delicate liqueur with a distinct aromaticity, with elderflower accompanied by fresh mentholated and citrus scents. Elderflower liqueur from the Tuscan Distilleria Indie is a liqueur that recalls the true floral essence of the elderberry, to be appreciated for its freshness and fragrance. Distilleria Indie was established in 2022 in San Pietro in Campo, in the province of Lucca, a place that the young owners Francesco Marcucci and Saverio Bertagni chose to realise their dream of producing great liqueurs and distillates that are 100% Made in Italy, pursuing a minimal environmental impact approach. As proof of this modern and sustainable vision, Distilleria Indie was the first distillery in Italy to obtain 'Carbon-Neutral' certification, a goal made possible through practices such as using renewable energy, optimising production processes, using recycled materials and planting new trees to absorb atmospheric CO2.
Distilleria Indie Elderflower Liqueur originates from a selection of high-quality local ingredients such as elderflower, spearmint and lime. These botanicals undergo a slow infusion in pure grain alcohol in order to extract the essential oils they contain.
Distilleria Indie's Elderflower Liqueur has a straw yellow colour with brilliant emerald green hues. The nose has fresh scents of mint, elderflower and lime that recall the ingredients used in its preparation. The taste is soft and fragrant, characterised by a pleasant finish that evokes the fresh balsamic and citrus sensations of the nose. Precisely because of these characteristics, Distilleria Indie's Elderflower Liqueur is ideal for adding a citrusy, mentholated touch to your cocktails, although it is also exceptional consumed cold on its own at the end of a meal.
