The Chemins de Bassac winery stands out for its biodynamic production philosophy, which leads it to offer genuine and territorial bottles. We are Puimisson, in Languedoc, where this Domaine can boast a long viticultural tradition, having been founded in the late 19th century. In 2016 the winery was purchased by Bruno and Thama, a pair of Brazilian architects who decided to change their lives by escaping the urban chaos of São Paulo. Most of the vineyards are located in the small Bassac area, hence the winery's name, which literally means "streets of Bassac." The labels are designed by different artists using the ancient photographic technique of cyanotype.

The estate manages roughly 16 hectares of vineyards squeezed between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by olive groves, oaks and cypress trees. The vines, located at about 100 meters above sea level, are arranged on ancient terraces of alluvial origin shaped by the small Libron River and consisting mainly of clay and limestone. For more than 20 years, the Domaine has been certified organic and in 2017 also obtained biodynamic certification, strongly desired by the Latin couple. Roussanne, Viognier, Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir represent the grape varieties grown with passion by Bruno and Thama. In the winery, fermentations are conducted exclusively by indigenous yeasts and the wines mature on fine lees in different types of containers, from steel to wood via cement. At bottling, the masses do not undergo clarification or filtration and often no sulfur is even added.

The goal of Domaine Chemins de Bassac is to photograph and convey the true essence of terroir, rejecting any standardization dictated by the market. Despite coming from a warm, Mediterranean climate such as the Languedoc, Bruno and Thama's labels impress with their natural freshness and liveliness.
