The Marche winery Poderi San Lazzaro operates in the territory of Offida, a few kilometers from the Adriatic coast, a territory historically devoted to the production of quality wines. The winery's birth dates back to 2003, when Paolo Capriotti and his wife Elisetta Carosi decided to pick up the winemaking tradition of his family to give found an estate based on environmental sustainability. Indeed, the Capriotti family boasts several generations of winemakers, although the qualitative leap came with Paolo and Elisetta in the early years of the new millennium. The couple devotes love and attention along every stage of the production process, from the cultivation of the vines to the winemaking and aging phases, an approach that is reflected in genuine and sincere wines.

The Poderi San Lazzaro estate covers 9 hectares of vineyards, entirely dedicated to the traditional varieties of the Offida area, namely Passerina and Pecorino as far as white grapes are concerned, Montepulciano and Sangiovese among the black grapes. The vineyards are located at an elevation of 290 meters above sea level on well-exposed hillsides and are run on a certified organic regime. The soils on which the vines grow tend to be clayey, characterized by a good supply of limestone. The climate is positively influenced by the concomitant proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines, conditions that create an exceptional microclimate for vine cultivation. Fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks, the same type of wine containers used for the maturation of some wines, with the remainder aging in French oak barriques.

The wines of Poderi San Lazzaro express a strong territorial identity, with qualities such as freshness and sapidity always in evidence. These are interpretations with unsympathetic personality, characterized by an artisanal dimension that does not, however, preclude remarkable cleanliness and aromatic finesse. The winery's production is rather limited and each label reflects the character of the grape variety from which it originates, without any homologation.
