Georges Vesselle constitutes a family-run Domaine champenoise located in Bouzy, in the celebrated Montagne de Reims area, the undisputed home of Pinot Noir. Georges Vesselle's history is very prestigious and strongly linked to his territory. In fact, he was mayor of Bouzy for no less than 25 years and managed the vineyards of renowned Maisons such as Mumm, Perrier-Jouet and Heidsieck Monopole. In this area, Georges introduced a number of important innovations, including the execution of treatments by helicopter and laser planting machines. In addition, during the 1980s he was among the first to introduce viticulture in India. Two of his sons, Eric and Bruno, joined their father in running the winery in 1993, each in a different role, and today they continue the path set by Georges.

The Georges Vesselle sparkling wine house cultivates 17 hectares of vineyards that can fully bear the label Grand Cru, the highest level of quality attestable in Champagne. Ninety percent of the area is devoted to Pinot Noir, with the remaining 10 percent occupied by Chardonnay. The former, a grape variety-symbol of the winery and the area, gives structure and character to the wines, while the latter lends elegance and freshness. The rows, planted on clay-limestone matrix soils characterized by the peculiar presence of gypsum in the subsoil, are located mid-coast, where they enjoy optimal exposure. The different plots are vinified separately and fermentations take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, so as to preserve the maximum freshness and fragrance of the wine. This is followed by blending and sparkling according to the Champenoise Method, with bottle aging on the lees lasting several years.

Georges Vesselle's is a wide selection of labels played on finesse and taste envelopment, also characterized by a remarkable cleanliness of aromas and great harmony. A range for all tastes that includes vintage and nonvintage Champagnes, white or rosé, with diversified dosages.
