The Czech winery Krasna Hora is a small, family-owned business located in Ratíškovice. Marek Vybíral began his venture into the world of wine by recovering a small vineyard once farmed by his grandfather. Later the property was expanded with the acquisition of an adjacent 0.22-hectare parcel. The expansion continued with a new planting of 0.22 hectares in Ratíškovice. The vineyards are complemented by a 0.11-hectare plot in Hrubé, considered a true Grand Cru of Ratíškovice, and 0.09 hectares in Nácestky. It is clear that this is a small mosaic of vines but carefully selected from the best in the area, by virtue of a deep knowledge of the area.

All the plots on the estate have in common the composition of the soils. These are poor, draining soils with a predominantly sandy matrix, which are very suitable for growing Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, the two typical grapes of the region. The Krásná hora vineyard in Starý Poddvorov, on the other hand, possesses unique and special characteristics. It is located on a hillside with a sunny south-facing exposure, already cultivated by Cistercian monks in the 13th century. Seven vineyards have been planted in this area on long-abandoned land, covering a total area of 5.5 hectares. The soils are characterized by the presence of loess and are perfect for the grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Lužice vineyard is located in a highly suitable area, and the vines are rooted in sandy matrix soils. The old Riesling vines produce few clusters per plant but excellent quality. The Babušak vineyard is the most recent acquisition. It covers an impressive 7 hectares and is located on a very sunny and windy hillside with soils composed of loess. The vineyard grounds allow excellent grapes to be brought to maturity, which are then processed with extreme care. The winery was designed by architect Tomáš Havlíček, inspired by the traditional architecture of barns and cottages in the area, so that it fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.
