Pietro Zardini's 'Anfora' is a velvety, soft and balanced Recioto della Valpolicella. With its heart of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes from soils of detritus, calcareous marl and basalt, this wine expresses itself in an intense ruby red colour and an enveloping bouquet of underbrush. The result of careful selection and traditional craftsmanship, the grapes are dried for months before a slow fermentation in amphora, followed by 18 months of ageing in terracotta. Perfect to savour at the end of a meal, perhaps as a meditation wine, or to enjoy with chocolate desserts

Immersed in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, Pietro Zardini's Recioto della Valpolicella 'Anfora' represents a sublime interpretation of local winemaking traditions. Produced by one of the most renowned wineries in the area, this label embodies the very essence of Valpolicella, a land with deep roots and millennia-old history. The 'Anfora' label evokes an ancient winemaking art, recalling traditions of the past while embracing innovation and quality.

The Recioto della Valpolicella 'Anfora' is the result of a careful selection of grapes from the highest hills of Valpolicella, where the predominantly red and brown soil of debris, limestone marl, and basalts gives them a complex and elegant character. These grapes, mainly composed of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara, are handpicked from the high hillside and carefully arranged in crates. The grape drying process, which lasts between 4 and 5 months, is followed by a slow traditional fermentation on the skins with a maceration period of 4-5 weeks. The wine then matures for 18 months in terracotta amphorae, an ancient refinement method that gives the wine extraordinary depth.

The Recioto della Valpolicella 'Anfora' is distinguished by its enveloping bouquet, characterized by forest undergrowth aromas enriched with notes of strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry.
