Tropfltalhof's "RoséMarie" is an artisanal rosé, made with red grapes harvested from a low vineyard on this South Tyrolean winery's estate. Andreas, the winemaker, manages the vineyards biodynamically and has animals grazing between the rows, a method to weed and fertilize at the same time! On the nose, there's a mix of red fruits, citrus and spices that meet hints of saltiness on the finish. The palate is juicy, lively and fresh, with a balsamic finish that makes every sip intriguing
RoséMarie from Tröpfltalhof is an artisan wine born from the passion and close to nature work of Andreas Dichristin. He is a pioneer of biodynamic agriculture in viticulture and a careful observer of all stages of the growth and development of plants and raw materials for wines with genuine flavours. Andreas' philosophy is to work his grapes without any chemical or synthetic treatment, patiently going through each season and experimenting in the vineyard with new natural methods to make the most of a raw material of great vitality. The balance of vegetation and fauna in and around the vineyards is important and gives the grapes an intense flavour that makes them even tastier. Everything is subject to the rhythm: the sun provides the daily and annual rhythm and the infusions and preparations that nourish the soil regularly.
The vineyards of the Tröpfltalhof for the wine "RoséMarie" are located in the municipality of Feld, at about 270 meters above sea level, a location that positively influences the microclimate and is therefore ideal for developing the grapes. The vines are about 20 years old and cover about half a hectare of land, mainly composed of abundant gravel and river and alluvial deposits of different origins due to the presence of water in the past. In the vineyard, human intervention is kept to a minimum, and the vines' roots are nourished with biodynamic means and infusions of wild herbs. The grapes are harvested by hand in October, and the yields in the vineyard are very low thanks to the balance achieved over time; in the cellar, fermentation occurs spontaneously in terracotta amphorae. It ages on the fine lees and is not filtered before bottling.
Rosé from Tröpfltalhof's "RoséMarie" has a cherry pink colour with bright reflections. On the nose, it exudes aromas of raspberries and strawberries, citrus fruits such as clementine, summer flowers, aromatic herbs and spicy notes of white pepper combined with hints of brine, gentian and rhubarb; on the palate, it is energetic, easy-drinking and juicy with a fresh and spicy finish for a unique drinkability. It pairs well with smoked salmon, fish soups and vegetarian dishes, as well as fresh cow's milk cheeses. Perfect for romantic summer aperitifs by the sea at sunset or for fish barbecues, where you can enjoy a perfect ambassador of the South Tyrolean land in a glass.
