Medium open goblet

Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion

Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar

You can easily leave it in your cellar for 3-4 years

The Vigna Pedale by Torrevento is one of those red wines that needs no introduction, a red wine that alone was able to represent the extraordinary potential of Nero di Troia and the terroir of Castel del Monte, a wild and rugged area It located in the heart of north western Murgia, a land in which the winery Torrevento likes to describe as "where human history mingles with the colors of nature".

Here the climate is arid and dry and the significant presence of stone is dampened by the soft contours of the hills and the crops that are aligned all the more authentic fruit of the passion, dedication and hard work of man. We are in the elective land of Nero di Troia, a grape that ancient and indigenous Torrevento decided to bring back with its Vigna Pedale. A vine difficult to tame, a vine weird and edgy, rough and impetuous. The family Liantonio, however, believed in him and a 6-hectare vineyard sapling gave birth to the project Vigna Pedal; a fully successful project that has captured the attention of major Italian wine guides and not.

A very long maceration and aging for 8 months in steel and 12 months in large oak barrels to give Vigna Pedale structure and elegance, softness and balance. A Nero di Troia in purity of great character where the fruit dominates the scene in the early part of the tasting with hints of black cherry and blackberry to be then softened by spicy nuances of cardamom, black pepper and cloves. The tannins are and feel, but the ability to Torrevento was also in smorzarli, making them delicate and fine, making them the perfect traveling companions. Vigna Pedale by Torrevento, a great red wine.
