Adanti represents a historic name in the Montefalco wine-growing area, a family-run business that has contributed greatly to the development of the area since the 1970s. The winery is located in Villa Arquata, an estate located in the enchanting town of Bevagna and built on the ruins of the old convent of Celestine friars, which in turn was built on Roman remains first and then late Renaissance. In this place full of history Domenico Adanti started his own wine project with the firm will to produce high quality labels, focusing on traditional local wines such as Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso. Today it is Daniela Adanti and her daughter Stella who take care of the estate, embracing the same production philosophy as the founder Domenico. In addition, alongside viticulture the Adanti family is dedicated to the production of delicious extra virgin olive oils from its 10 hectares of olive groves.

As far as the viticultural aspect is concerned, the 30 hectares of vineyards owned by the Adanti winery are reserved for traditional varieties such as Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Grechetto, but also for allochthonous grapes such as Barbera and international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The rows, located at an altitude between 230 and 360 meters above sea level within the areas of Arquata and Colcimino, famous since antiquity for the quality of the wines and oils produced, are planted on clay and sandy soils rich in limestone. In an effort to respect the environment, the vineyards are conducted following the principles of organic farming and, in addition, the estate is energy self-sufficient thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels. Pruning and harvesting are carried out strictly by hand, and in the winery fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with prolonged maceration on the skins for the reds, accompanied by periodic pumping over and delestage. Instead, the subsequent aging period takes place in barrels of different sizes, such as barriques, tonneaux and large Slavonian oak casks.

From these premises takes shape the production of the Umbrian winery Adanti, skilled in combining the most typical and traditional expressions with labels of modern and international style, always seeking qualities such as elegance and measure.
