"Pietranera" De Bartoli is a truly unique wine that conquests for its characteristic aroma and can be distinguished by its minerality: a real gem from the island of Pantelleria, from Zibibbo grapes.
Bukkuram winery, owned by De Bartoli family, has begun to produce the raisins in the mid-eighties, as provocative and proud answer to those who associated the wine area of Pantelleria to the production of Moscato. The innovative method, unique in this area, states that the harvest of the grapes takes place at the end of August, to pick a real freshness and an intense sugar content that embellish the raisins. The vineyards are located in C.da Cufurà and enjoy exposure to the north, extending over a hilly and volcanic terraced and cultivated according to the method of the tree, an agricultural practice heritage of humanity. The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated for 24 hours at only 8 ° C, a temperature that enhances the flavor nuances typical of the vine. Within six months since it was born, the "Pietranera" is put on the market, shining a haunting intensity and complexity. This dry wine has an unusual solidity of the structure, which allows a long bottle aging.
The name "Pietranera" embeds in the panorama of Italian wines a mineral wine as the black volcanic stones of its land, an aromatic wine as the scents of nature that cradle it, a fresh wine as the sea breeze that embraces Pantelleria, a really valuable wine.
