Rosato Frizzante Ancestrale Cantina Giardino

Rosato Frizzante Ancestrale Cantina Giardino

Cantina Giardino

The Sparkling Rosé Ancestral of Cantina Giardino is a lively semi-sparkling wine of this reality of Irpina. It is produced with grapes from very old vines, which give a certain complexity to even the simplest and easiest to drink wine. Approaching the nose to the glass, the fine bubble pinch the nostrils, and aromas of citrus and red fruits tonify and refresh. A saline wine, both on the nose and on the palate, where the intense flavor and great minerality meet a lively freshness, ideal for degreasing the mouth after a bite of cold cuts or cheese

ROSATO FRIZZANTE ANCESTRALE CANTINA GIARDINO DESCRIPTION

Cantina Giardino's Rosato Frizzante Ancestrale is a spumante sur lies, a typical expression of this type of wine, which is enjoying considerable success with wine lovers, who are increasingly attracted to labels inspired by productions based on an idea of natural wine. This is a blend of various red grapes from the Irpinian territory, which has always been one of the most vocated in the whole of Campania. Its dry, decisive and pleasantly fruity character gives it a taste characterised by great freshness and flavour. These characteristics make it ideal to be tasted as an aperitif, to accompany a platter of cured meats and tasty cheeses, seafood or vegetable-based hors d'oeuvres.

The Ancestrale Rosato Frizzante originates in Ariano Arpino, in the heart of Irpinia, in an area of high hills about 500 metres above sea level. Cantina Giardino runs an estate of over twenty hectares, cultivated under organic farming methods. It has always produced wines with a straightforward, artisanal character, using the native grape varieties of the area. The wine is made from grapes of different red varieties from old vineyards on the estate, which are over 80 years old and produces a few clusters of excellent intensity and aromatic richness. The vines are cultivated on soils composed of sandstone and clay and enjoy a cool, breezy climate characterised by good technical excursions. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are pressed very softly, and the must is then vinified in white with spontaneous fermentation and indigenous yeasts. Secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Ancestral Method, without dégorgement and with very low use of sulphites.

The Rosato Frizzante of the Irpinian estate Cantina Giardino is an ancestral sparkling wine of great vivacity and expressive richness. In the glass, it has a rather intense pink colour, crossed by a fine, continuous perlage. The bouquet expresses citrusy fragrances of bitter orange peel, pink grapefruit, notes of pomegranate, redcurrant, raspberry, morello cherry, wild strawberries and nuances of aromatic herbs. Intense and rich, it is taut and dry on the palate, with pleasantly fruity aromas, a savoury finish and great freshness.
