The Casa Belfi winery is one of the leading organic and biodynamic wineries that have dedicated themselves, with rigour and originality, to the expressive research of true, unique and unconventional wines. It was founded in 1999 by the young enologist Maurizio Donadi with the collaboration and support of the producer Albino Armani who, through entrepreneurial intuition, decided to follow the young partner's amazing creativity and desire to experiment.

The Casa Belfi winery is located in San Polo di Pieve, in the province of Treviso, and can boast 9 hectares of vineyards spread between the towns of San Polo and Romanziol di Noventa del Piave. The Glera grape is the absolute star of the area, with Guyot trained vines rooted in loose, gravelly soils rich in sand and silt. The vineyards have been farmed organically for years, and biodynamic management has recently been introduced to some of the plots. As far as the work in the cellar is concerned, the choice has been to abandon the conventional practice of refermentation in autoclaves of the Charmat method, and to develop the practice of fermentation in the bottle or even in amphora. The key players in this production philosophy are the E.M, or effective microorganisms, which favour the organic balance of the vines and the wine.

The wines of Casa Belfi are a healthy and qualitatively high reflection of the territory and the indigenous grape varieties. We are talking about wines that immediately incarnate a philosophy based on nature, on ancient Treviso traditions and on the rejection of synthetic chemistry and technology. Freshness of aroma, vivacity, structure and richness of flavour are the main characteristics of these wines, which possess a rare personality and are extraordinarily able to surprise.
