Domini Veneti is an important production reality in the Valpolicella area, offering prestigious labels capable of expressing the authentic face of this marvellous territory. This is a brand that belongs to the Cantina Valpolicella Negrar, created for a line of classic and traditional wines, capable of highlighting the estate's best potential. The name was chosen to link back to the ancient history of the region, which in the 16th century was under the rule of Venice. The project was born towards the end of the 1980s, out of the desire to raise the quality level of the Cantina di Negrar's production. The basis was a long process of zoning and selection of the best vineyards, capable of producing grapes of superior intensity and aromatic richness.

Thanks to the collaboration of the members, a limited number of plots of land were selected, destined exclusively for the production of the wines of the new brand. A process of enhancing the heritage of the vineyards, which has isolated a series of real estate cru, called upon to express the highest values of the Valpolicella terroir. This area of Verona was already famous for its wines in Roman times and over the centuries has never lost the custom of making great reds. The territory is made up of deep valleys that descend from north to south and offer splendid hilly exposures. The climate is cool, with good variations between day and night temperatures, always ventilated by the breezes of Lake Garda.

In a short time, the Domini Veneti brand has established itself among enthusiasts as a guarantee of excellence, with a series of labels that are all very interesting, interpreting the Valpolicella tradition with elegance and authenticity. According to custom, the vineyards are cultivated with the native red grape varieties of the area: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The plots selected to produce the Domini Veneti labels come from four different areas of Valpolicella: the Jago vineyards are cultivated on terraces facing south-east, the Moron vineyards face south and offer perfect conditions for over-ripening processes, the Torbe vineyards are in a cool climate area at an altitude of over 400 metres and the Casetta vineyards produce high quality grapes, ideal for making wines destined for long ageing in wood.
