The Etna Rosso "Musmeci" is a powerful, full-bodied and mineral wine that encapsulates all the warmth of the volcanic soil on which it was born. After a long aging in large barrels, it releases intense aromas of flowers, earth and spices in the glass. The sip is robust and austere, with solid tannins

The Etna Rosso "Musmeci" is the most representative red wine of the soul and the identity of the Tenuta di Fessina; founded in 2007 by a project of Silvia Maestrelli and Federico Curtaz, Tenuta di Fessina reached in a few years the top of the quality pyramid of Etna wines: passion, enthusiasm, wisdom and experience were the winning combination.
Production is centered on full respect for indigenous varieties and the magical land of Etna, without riding the fashions of the moment. Local grapes, rich soil and volcanic ash skeleton and a perfect climate for the full maturation of the grapes. The terroir is something magical. That Etna Rosso "Musmeci" by Tenuta di Fessina is the most representative wine of the Sicilian as can be seen from the label, where we find the old palmento of the eighteenth century lava stone is placed at the center of the estate of Silvia.
The Etna Rosso "Musmeci" was born in Rovittello, on vineyards located at 670 meters above sea level in the North side of the Etna. Historic vineyards, centenarians, where the Nerello Mascalese expresses all his strength, his elegance, his austerity. Thus was born one of the best Etna Rosso that we've tried: an elegant wine that matures in barrels and big oak casks for at least 20 months, long-lived and very fresh. The perfect synthesis of the terroir of Etna, with the rigor and the respect that the same volcano requires those working on its slopes.
