NERO D'AVOLA BOSCO FALCONERIA 2018 DESCRIPTION

The Nero d'Avola of the artisanal winemaking reality Bosco Falconeria is a Sicilian bottle with a balanced and flavorful taste that tantalizes the palate. Located in Partinico, in the province of Palermo, the Bosco Falconeria estate is configured as a three hundred and sixty degrees agricultural farm since, in addition to the elaboration of territorial wines, it is dedicated to the cultivation of fruits, legumes and vegetables, as well as the production of oil and vinegar. The cornerstone of the winery's production philosophy is the so-called "agriculture by subtraction," which not only replaces synthetic chemical products with those provided by organic farming but also involves a drastic reduction of phytosanitary interventions, thus preserving the health of the soil, plants and the ecosystem in general.

Bosco Falconeria Nero d'Avola constitutes a pure expression of the Sicilian variety of the same name grown organically and following the principles of farming by subtraction. The vines are trained in the espalier and alberello alcamese systems on red, medium-textured limestone soils located about 250 meters above sea level. The freshly harvested bunches are mellowed in stainless steel silos where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature thanks only to the intervention of indigenous yeasts. After 9 months of aging, also in stainless steel, the wine is bottled and left to rest for an additional 4 months before release.

Bosco Falconeria's Nero d'Avola has an intense ruby red color. The nose has intense hints of red fruits and Mediterranean herbs that meet delicate spicy sensations. Firm, juicy and at times austere on the palate, supported by pleasant tannins and a good freshness that gives balance.
